The SMSNNJ celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a Hudson River cruise on the two masted oyster schooner Richard RobbinsAbout 35 members, spouses, and guests were aboard the 99 year old vessel when we left the dock at the Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club in Weehawken, NJ.  All aboard thoroughly enjoyed the four hour cruise down the Hudson to the Statue of Liberty, up the East River to the Brooklyn Bridge and back along lower Manhattan.  We were all touched and saddened as we passed by "Ground Zero" with the smoke still rising from rubble just barely visible between the riverside buildings.

The cruise was ably operated by the Classic Sail Windjammer Company which provided us with a safe voyage and good food and drink on a perfect day to be on the river.
