The following is an excerpt from a report by member Jeff Herne, one of the principal organizers of the event.
Another event has passed us by at 35 knots...and I am pleased to report that it was a successful one.
We had 97 models arrive, and 104 non-modeling members of the public attend. I know for sure we've got a few new members just from my conversations.
I want to thank the members of the committee who helped to put this together...as well as all the members of the club that did everything from change light bulbs to set up and knock down tables.
Special thanks to the following:
Tom McGowan for handling the press releases, as I really hate doing that job.
Ed and Nick for manning the entrance.
Roy Goroski, Oswald Thalmann, Gary Kingzett, Jeff Fugelstadt, Barry Rudd, and Martin Quinn for helping with the set up and breakdown.
I especially want to thank Gary for taking care of the lighting at the facility.
I would also like to thank Tom Ruggerio, Don Otis, Gary Kingzett, Bob LaPadura, Brad Chaucer, and Dan Pariser for their tech sessions.
If I missed anyone, please forgive me, I'm still wobbly from the day's events.
